Vermiculite Insulation granules are designed to be poured down either side of a multi-fuel Flexible Chimney Liner to keep the flue warm, maintain an efficient draw and reduce the build-up of condensates. It also provides the additional benefit of holding the liner rigid for cleaning.
Used in conjunction with a Register Plate to keep the granules in place, Vermiculite Insulation is a naturally occurring laminated material which, through thermal expansion, produces a highly aerated insulating and absorbent particle.
This fibre free product has many applications including such as mixed with gypsum to form a fire retardant plaster for walls adjacent to a wood burning stove or one bag mixed with one bag of dry cement mixed in with twenty three litres of water produces flame retardant cement which can also be used around flue liners. 10×100 litre bags will cover 10m squared to a depth of 100mm.
